The Shikargah Chanderi Kurta Set reaches back four centuries for its design language — and arrives looking entirely of the present.

The shikargah — the Mughal hunting ground — is one of the most celebrated motif traditions in Indian textile history: dense forest foliage inhabited by deer, birds, and botanical life, worked across fabric as a complete world rather than a repeating pattern. Here, that tradition is interpreted in dull gold tissue appliqué on 40gm white chanderi — the lightest possible ground for the richest possible reference. Botanical vines and large blooms trail across the entire kurta front and back, and within the foliage, deer figures move through the composition as they have across Mughal textiles for centuries.

At 40gm, the chanderi is sheer enough that the appliqué's dimensionality casts soft shadow through the ground beneath — giving the forest its depth.

The sleeve closes in a structured accordion-pleated tissue cuff — the most architecturally considered sleeve detail in this sub-collection. The khaitan silk pants carry tissue appliqué embroidery through, with organza detailing at the hem, completing a set where the most ancient design reference has been given the most contemporary possible weight. Reach for it at day weddings, festive brunches, Eid gatherings, and intimate celebrations where the story in your embroidery is worth telling.
